Apricot 'Aroma Spur Säulenaprikose' (Prunus armeniaca) is a unique columnar variety of apricot, which is distinguished by its compact shape, easy care and high fruit quality. This variety is ideal for small gardens, terraces or balconies. It comes from GEERS Bio Baumschule, which specialises in organic fruit tree cultivation and meets the certified standards of the Bioland organisation.
It reaches a height of 2-3 metres and has a narrow, columnar shape, which makes it suitable for confined spaces. It requires a sunny site and a humid, well-drained soil. Moderate watering is recommended, while avoiding waterlogging of the soil.
Fertilisation is recommended twice a year, in spring (March) and summer (May) with a garden fertiliser.
Fruits ripen from September to October (months IX-X). They are sweet, aromatic and suitable for direct consumption, pickling or drying.
In order to maintain the columnar shape, it is advisable to make a summer cut (in June) in which the side shoots are shortened to 2-3 buds. It is important to repeat this pruning in the first few years to ensure the characteristic shape of the tree.
The plant is self-pollinating, which means that it does not require a pollinator.
The apricot tree is hardy and resistant to common climatic fluctuations.
The 'Aroma Spur Säulenaprikose' apricot is organically grown and meets Bioland standards. The packaging used is made from 100% recycled materials and the product is Plant Passport certified, which guarantees its quality and safety in cultivation.
This apricot is ideal for modern urban gardens and for those who prefer to grow organically. Its compact shape, high fertility and low maintenance make it an excellent choice for any grower who appreciates the combination of aesthetics and practicality.
