- Kamchatka blueberry Boreal Blizzard comes from Canada. It is one of the new late harvest varieties.
- The bush grows very strong and fast, reaching a height of about 2m, has strong skeletal branches. It grows healthy and strong.
- The fruits are very large, approximately 2,8-3,9 g, oval. The flavour is sweet , it has a good aroma, the most delicious of the groundnuts... Under ideal conditions the yield per bush can reach up to 5kg. Boreal Blizzard is blue-purple in colour. It ripens from mid-July. It is considered a very productive variety. After ripening, the berries remain on the bush for 6 weeks.
- Let us not forget that groundsel fruits very poorly without cross-pollination, a pollinator with the same flowering period is always suitable. Even if the variety is partially self-pollinating, without pollination by another variety the crop is poor and the berries are very small. The best pollinators for Boreal Blizzard are Boreal Beast , Honey Bee, Borealis, Indigo Gem. It has a long flowering period.
- Planting of plants when hand harvesting should be 1,5m . To make pollination even more effective.
- Cutting of Zemolez is sufficient after 4 years of planting. The first pruning in the fifth year is done by removing the old shoots. This gives the plant more light, which is ideal for fruit formation and ripening. Pruning can be done after harvest or before flowering.
- It does not require acidic soil and thrives in any nutrient-rich garden loam.
- This variety is fully hardy and the flowers tolerate frosts down to -8 well.
- It is not susceptible to pests , or diseases.
